The company has acquired a product pipeline from an established multinational pharmaceutical company and is currently building a team to manage the comprehensive commercialisation of these products. We are in a transitional phase from project to company, aiming to build an enterprise centred on innovation, compliance, and patient focus.
Position Overview
As the company's first Compliance Director, you will be the cornerstone of the company's compliance system. You will be fully responsible for designing, establishing, and implementing a comprehensive compliance framework from scratch, ensuring alignment with Chinese laws, regulations, and industry ethical standards. You will ensure compliance during the current commercialisation preparation phase, embed a culture of compliance within the company, and lay the foundation for future scaled growth. This is a challenging and impactful role, offering a platform to build from blueprint to reality.

Responsibilities
Compliance System Development & Strategic Planning:
Lead the design and establishment of a company-wide compliance management system from scratch.
Develop near-term, mid-term, and long-term compliance strategies to ensure alignment with business growth.
Policies, Processes & Training:
Draft, review, and update all internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring effective implementation.
Design and deliver tiered compliance training programmes for all employees, with a focus on market, sales, and medical departments.
Risk Assessment & Monitoring:
Conduct regular comprehensive compliance risk assessments to identify potential risks in business operations.
Establish and execute compliance monitoring and audit plans for continuous oversight of key business processes.
Internal Investigations & Reporting:
Establish and manage internal whistleblowing channels.
Lead or coordinate internal investigations into alleged compliance violations, prepare reports, and propose corrective actions.
Third-Party Risk Management:
Develop due diligence and management processes for third parties (e.g., distributors, CSOs, CROs, speakers, and suppliers).
Internal & External Communication & Collaboration:
Provide professional compliance advice and support to management and various departments.
Represent the company in compliance-related communications with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.

Qualifications
8+ years of compliance experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 2 years in a compliance management role.
Proven success in building a compliance system from scratch, with familiarity in the end-to-end process of system establishment.
Hands-on experience in anti-corruption and anti-commercial bribery practices, with a strong understanding of China’s pharmaceutical regulatory environment and enforcement trends.
Prior experience in the compliance department of a multinational pharmaceutical company is preferred.
Experience in managing compliance across the entire product lifecycle, both pre- and post-commercialisation, is preferred.
