Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager to join the team.
Reports to
Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Procurement
Lead global procurement strategy for GPU compute clusters, servers, networking hardware, and colocation infrastructure to support trading and research workloads.
Design and optimise procurement processes, including vendor selection, RFP/RFQ management and contract lifecycle.
Negotiate contracts, optimise total cost of ownership (TCO), and oversee hardware logistics across regions.
Ensure compliance with internal governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to forecast compute capacity and ensure timely deployment.
Set clear performance goals, mentor junior staff, and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.
Vendor & Supplier Relationship Management
Build and manage strategic partnerships with hardware OEMs, system integrators, and colocation providers.
Evaluate vendor performance through KPIs and SLAs, ensuring consistent service delivery and business continuity.
Conduct vendor site visits and audits to ensure delivery quality and compliance.
Market Intelligence & Planning
Monitor GPU supply trends, chip allocation, and market dynamics to mitigate risks.
Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior management on supplier risks, pricing forecasts, and capacity planning.
Requirements
Strong vendor network in GPU compute and colocation ecosystems.
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills across technical and executive levels.
Willingness to travel frequently.
Fluency in Mandarin and English is required to communicate effectively with both English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or technical master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of related procurement or supply chain experience in data centres, HPC, or financial services. Deep understanding of data centre operations and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Proven track record in team leadership and cross-functional project management.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in supporting quantitative trading, HFT, or AI research infrastructure.
Familiarity with GPU market allocation, chip shortages, and secondary market sourcing strategies.
Experience setting up strategic supplier frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Understanding of trading infrastructure SLAs, uptime requirements, and latency-sensitive system dependencies.
